Jim Jacobsohn

Senior Vice President
Jim is the senior vice president of Sales & Client Relations, which allows him to combine his interests in health care strategy, quality, operations and client services. He brings over 25 years of strategy experience in the health care and political arenas to this role.

The Sales & Client Relations team identifies the right analytic, intelligence, consulting and managed service solutions for thousands of hospital, health system and life science organizations allowing them to make more informed executive decisions. The team sells and supports Vizient® clinical and operations analytics, as well as Sg2 Analytics, Intelligence and Consulting services. He regularly visits members, spending time with executive teams to understand their priorities and how Vizient can assist them with achieving their goals. Jim also frequently presents at conferences across the country.

Prior to his current position, Jim was a national vice president at Sg2, where he led the Client Relations and Strategic Analytics teams, which were responsible for the service delivery and sales to all of Sg2’s existing members. He also represented Sg2 at speaking engagements on national health care trends. Jim also held other positions throughout his tenure at Sg2 including as a member of Sg2’s Strategic Accounts team, driving business development opportunities with some of the nation’s largest health systems, and as co-leader of Sg2’s Client Service team, focusing on operations and the integrated delivery of Sg2’s Analytics and Intelligence.

Before joining Sg2, Jim was the assistant vice president of outreach at the Illinois State Medical Society and ISMIE Mutual Insurance Company. In this role, he engaged in relationship management of large physician groups, advocacy, business development, marketing and governmental affairs. He also worked in the State of Illinois Office of the Governor.

Jim earned an MBA with concentrations in marketing and in management and organization from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He graduated with a BS in political science from Northwestern University.
